I started this blog
as a way to force me to get back into shooting photos on a regular basis. I've
always been a fan of photography and have enjoyed taking photos any chance I
get. However, several years ago, I got away from it because film was too
expensive to buy/process. And I hated scanning photos if I wanted them online.
So sometime in 2002 or so, I purchased a point-and-shoot digital and fell in
love with it. I still use it, actually. But this past January, I bought a
digital SLR and have had a blast with it since. This is a place for me to
share my photos with friends, family and whoever happens to pop by.
I'll update it daily (and if something comes up, I'll try and make mention
that it won't be updated daily). There's a place for viewers to comment, so
feel free -- feedback is always welcome and encouraged.
About me -- I'm a sports writer in upstate New York. I sometimes take photos
for the paper as well. I've won a couple of awards in the past year (for
writing, not photography), which was kind of cool. I just started my third
year at the paper and we'll see where the road takes me.
This blog has been created so you can see the world a little through my eyes
-- from sports, to where I travel, to anything else that seems to perk me up.
I'm more apt to have people photos than landscape or things like that, but I'm
learning different things. I'm a people person and will be more inclined to
shoot something if people are there. That being said, I carry my camera with
me most of the time and will also stop and shoot something if it captures my
eye.

How I shoot: I set it to shoot in RAW/JPEG. Raw is my preferred, but I shoot in both in case I don't want to deal with the RAW on some photos, I can just grab the JPEG and go with it.
How I process: Adobe Photoshop CS2. Still learning, still
trying different things.
